What bemused me most of all was that every time I walked into the church the palms of my hands would burn unbearably. Needless to say I suddenly decided that I would like to become involved with the healing and asked the President if I could do so.
It was some three years later that I finally started to train as a healer but in the meantime had been to a bonfire night party with a friend who was suffering from bronchitis. This friend was a distinct disbeliever, to the point of ridicule.
As we sat outside watching the display of fireworks it became obvious that he was very unwell, and I put my hand out to rub his back, and I actually said to him ‘oh I wish I could do this’. It seemed like a stream of heat had rushed out of my hand and spread all over his back. He jumped and said words to the effect of ‘my goodness that’s hot’ but nevertheless he sat there and said that it was making him feel better. I was a little startled but very chuffed.
The next morning – very early – I got a phone call to say that his chest was clear and he felt wonderful. He didn’t know what I had done (neither did I at that point) but whatever it was it had worked.
Shortly after this my training began. I did the correspondence course, and all of the healing sessions required of me (104 in total it was then), and then went to an assessment day – and PASSED. Wow!!!! That was all I wanted to do – or so I thought. Healing was and is my love.
But of course there are many different forms of healing – mediumship being one of them – and in a different way – teaching is another.
